Mr. Horne is an executive with over 30 years of financial and operational experience in the health care industry. Mr. Horne has extensive experience in health care finance, accounting, reporting and auditing, financial analysis and benchmarking, revenue cycle, and clinical and operational improvement. He has served as engagement and client service executive with leading health care providers and payers throughout the country. He has the proven ability to effectively establish and manage multiple priorities and relationships throughout complex organizations including board members, executives, physicians, and clinical, financial and coding staffs.
Mr. Horne founded Extendent Advisory LLC, a consulting company focusing in revenue cycle, clinical operations improvement, reimbursement and financial services. He developed benchmarking tools in the areas of clinical documentation improvement, point of service care management, RAC audits, and revenue cycle management.
Prior to founding Extendent Mr. Horne was a Managing Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Horne served as a designated national industry leader for health care provider and payer services, overseeing 50 industry specialists in internal audit, compliance, revenue cycle, SOX, and IT consulting.
Mr. Horne was also Partner at Ernst and Young where he led the North Florida audit and business advisory practice. He effectively managed over 40 audit clients resulting in improved relationships, a growing client base, and strong client retention.
